What a beautiful little heron - so different from our Great Blue Heron. I love watching these birds and have done so for hours at the beach when the tide is out.

Yes I know there are many different species of Herrons, we have quite different looking herrons in Korea with small size of head with wider wings. Always lovely to see them waiting with patience for hunting and flying with such beatiful wings wide open!
